Text messages from Mise
Restaurants use Mise to take reservations and run their waitlist. Guests who ask for texts get reservation confirmations, a reminder the day before, and a text when their waitlist table is ready. Mise never sends marketing texts, and texting is never required to book.
Opting in when you book online
The reservation form on a restaurant's website asks for your mobile number. Below it is a checkbox that starts unchecked. Mise texts you only if you check it. This is that part of the form, as every guest sees it:
Opting in on the waitlist
When you join a waitlist in person, the host asks before entering your number:
Can we text you at this number when your table is ready? It's a text from Mise for this visit. Msg & data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP anytime to opt out.
Your number is added only if you say yes.
